Optimization is a function of Flex MLPE available as an integrated basic function in a modular junction box (TS4-O) or as an additional unit (TS4-A-O). It allows for designing with unequal string lengths, different orientations with respect to cardinal directions, or shaded areas with a reduced compensation factor. In addition to optimization, TS4-A-O enables module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown in accordance with the safety standards NEC 2014, 2017, and 2020.
