The Revolution for the Home Storage Market: Anker SOLIX Presents the Solarbank Multisystem

2025 . 10 . 09
Up to 4.8 kW output and 14.4 kW PV input power
Flexible expansion design, scalable investment
Simplified installation, saving time and cost
New V1 EV Charger compatible
Anker SOLIX, the world’s No.1 brand for plug-in balcony storage systems¹, introduces the new Anker SOLIX Solarbank Multisystem – a modular energy solution that is easier to install, more flexible, and more cost-efficient than conventional balcony and home storage systems. With up to four Solarbank units running in parallel, the Multisystem achieves a maximum solar input of about 14 kW, a maximum output to the home grid of 4.8 kW, and up to 64 kWh of expandable storage. This makes it the perfect solution for anyone looking for an affordable and effective energy system to gradually increase self-consumption.
With the Multisystem, Anker SOLIX brings a groundbreaking new type of solar storage solution for homes, addressing the typical problems in the balcony and home storage market: very high purchase costs with long payback times and lack of flexibility of existing products when energy demand grows. Rising energy prices and additional costs for homeowners add to the challenge.
From one to multi: Run up to four units at the same time
The Anker SOLIX Solarbank Multisystem enables up to four Solarbank units to run in parallel via the Anker SOLIX Power Dock². This delivers much higher performance compared to a single unit: up to 4.8 kW can be fed into the home grid, while up to 14.4 kW of solar energy is stored in the batteries. This means more power goes into storage while also providing more electricity to the household thanks to the high output.
The Multisystem can reach up to around 64 kWh of storage capacity — that’s up to 16 kWh per fully equipped unit with five extension batteries. Thanks to PluginPower™, extra battery modules can simply be plugged in by users themselves, without messy cables. Additional solar modules can also be added later: each Solarbank supports up to 3,600 W PV input and up to eight panels. This allows households to expand based on real energy usage even after purchase.
With the Multisystem, households can achieve up to 80% self-sufficiency and, under favorable conditions, reach payback in as little as four years³. This doubles the self-sufficiency compared to a regular balcony system, while cutting the payback period in half compared to conventional home storage.
Central Hub: The Anker SOLIX Power Dock
The Anker SOLIX Power Dock is the central control unit that connects the Solarbank units in parallel. It has four ports with a maximum of 3,600 W each for the Solarbank units, two ports for the EV Charger, and transfers up to 4.8 kW (1.2 kW per Solarbank with bidirectional inverter) into the home grid. Thanks to the built-in inverter, users can also benefit from dynamic electricity tariffs.
The Power Dock is optimized for efficiency: the entire system needs just one DC-AC conversion from solar generation to home use, minimizing energy loss. Like the Solarbank 3 Pro, the Multisystem is also compatible with Anker Intelligence™ and the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter. This patented technology uses AI and weather/usage data to predict surpluses or deficits, maximizing cost savings.
Cost-effective, scalable, and partly DIY: Advantages of the Solarbank Multisystem
Typical home storage requires long planning, complex installation, and many components, which drive up costs and extend payback times. The Multisystem, however, is need-based and flexible – ideal for young families, homeowners, or anyone planning to buy an EV. It allows you to start small with one Solarbank and expand later according to budget and demand. This means no overpaying for capacity you don’t yet need.
Unlike traditional systems, the Multisystem also allows savings through possible DIY installation steps. Depending on skills and conditions, users can install solar modules or battery modules themselves. The Power Dock setup and registration must be done by a certified electrician. Anker SOLIX offers professional installation with transparent pricing but also allows customers to use their own electricians.
Future-ready: EV Charging Compatibility
The Solarbank Multisystem is compatible with the Anker SOLIX V1 Smart EV Charger. A dedicated port on the Power Dock supports both 7.4 kW single-phase and 11 kW three-phase charging. With Smart Charging, the built-in AI automatically plans charging intelligently. The charging plug is designed for one-hand operation, making daily use easy. Once the Power Dock is professionally installed, users can even connect and mount the wallbox themselves, saving extra costs⁴.
The V1 can also work seamlessly with the Anker SOLIX X1 home storage system, or as a stand-alone EV charger without connection to storage. The Power Dock also supports third-party 7.4 kW single-phase and 11 kW three-phase chargers via a CEE plug.
